Sir, the voters are revolting!

According to recent polls in the UK, one third of Conservative voters will not vote Conservative come next election. A swing to the right will not help the embattled Cameron either. Most British voters have seen Cameron's flip flop policy changes and savage budget cuts, not to mention his blatant incompetence, as signs the conservative party is going under. That may not be the case. One can only hope the British Freedom party and UKIP benefit, not Labour from this exodus of support.

Lord Ashcroft, a key Conservative peer, had the following to say in the Daily Telegraph:

“Unfortunately, the air of competence and leadership needed to provide confidence in the party’s economic management is being eroded.“An accumulation of small mistakes and U-turns, each forgivable in itself, has prompted people to wonder whether policies are being thought through properly. The 'pasty tax’ debacle is remembered with derision.”

In an interview today with the Telegraph the PM said voters would ultimately back his values and policies. What values Mr Cameron?

Just a quick update on the debate. With any luck we may win, yet victory seems distant at the moment.

Comrade Obama

I've watched my Stateside conservative cousins, whinge about Obama. I knowing very little about American politics, assumed it was just age old Republican v Democrat vitriol. However things have become so sinister I feel it necessary to draw attention to it. It cannot be ignored, it quite simply is totalitarian.

This particular ''executive order'' is detailed as ''National security and emergency preparedness''. The first few paragraphs are rather dry, maybe to prevent casual readers from going any deeper.

The parts enumerating duties and powers, however, despite the same mind-numbing official patois, seem like anything but hot air.

Sec. 5.2. The Secretary of Homeland Security shall:…

(d) receive, integrate, and disseminate NS/EP communications information to the Federal Government and State, local, territorial, and tribal governments, as appropriate, to establish situational awareness, priority setting recommendations, and a common operating picture for NS/EP communications information;

(e) satisfy priority communications requirements through the use of commercial, Government, and privately owned communications resources, when appropriate;

This means that the US government, in an emergency is able to seize privately owned networks and radio broadcasts, and nationalise them. In some nuked out NYC dystopia, the government could very well seize all national, privately owned and otherwise, and nationalise them. It may not even have to come to that. Remember Hitler and the Reichstag?

Fade Brittania

The Royal Welsh ( Who defended Rorke's Drift), The Queen's Royal Lancers, Argyll and Sutherland Highland Regiment and Duke of Wellington's Regiment are among the British Army Regiments to be axed in budget cuts

Shock but no surprises here. I've been very busy so away from my keyboard, I was hoping to post some good news but as is the current trend, there is none. Scottish Regiments were by and large spared, probably to try and smooth things over on the lead up to the referendum. Honestly though, last year saw the butchering of the Royal Navy. Napoleon, Kaiser Bill and Hitler tried and failed to break the Royal Navy's back. But our mate Dave Cameron succeeded in destroying it! This year saw the army have its wrist slashed. The Air Force will be next just you wait.

I can only imagine the sadness that veterans and serving men of these regiments must feel. After fighting for hundreds of years, their proud banners are torn down by some bureaucrat in Whitehall.

I have little doubt that there will be a revival. That day will only come after Britain has been slapped awake, ala 1939.
